ok i REALLY REALLY REALLY want an srt 4. how easy would it be to "make" an srt out of an 03 neon if i got the engine and tranny etc....?? reason i ask that option is i was stupid when i was younger and STILL pay for it in insurance. it cost me $295 PER MONTH on my audi right now and they said an srt would be even worse!!! i could pay cash for the acctual srt and keep liability on it but that sucks if someone decides to be a dumb *** and do something to your car... or worse happens. i figured i could buy the engine setup and build it if my hp dreams get that big while it's out. i want to run 400-450 on pump and over 500 on 110 or 116. and what turbo setup do you reccomend to get there? anyway thanks for the help.

 

If you want a fast neon, go to the neon section of this site. If you want the real deal, buy an srt. If you want a fast car BUY a fast car....

 

i think it would be cool to do all that,you should do it if you can.sorry i don't know about all your tech Q's but i'm sure some 1 else will.

 

I tried building an SRT out of an '04 SXT and found out the hard way it doesn't work/ save you money in any way... go by an SRT trust me it's worth it!

 

The only ones ive ever seen do it are old neons and even then im sure its a pain in the *** and very expensive unless you have a shop or fabracators in the family.
