A quarter for your time
not to nit pick, but slipping and feathering are not the same thing.
slipping the clutch is when you launch riding it out a little and not dumping it. feathering is when after you launch you let off and get back on the gas a few times, or "feather" it until the tires grab traction.

My friend, your times are respectable for what you have, . Even w/stage 1 i could not get below 14.0@101mph...VERY frustrating!!, iv'e since put wider tires on the car (225/45/17) & have since run a 13.98 @ 100.4mph._________5TOEZ_________it's all in the LAUNCH!
While not being armed with a racing dictionary, I'm gonna say sounds pretty nit picky to me. I still say feathering and slipping mean the same thing. Although my interpretation of the strictess sense of each term might lead me to use feathering in a sentence context to imply a reapplication of the clutch after it was released or reapplying pressure during the slip phase of the launch whereas I most likely would not say slip to imply a reapplication - but then again I might.
I can be arguementative.
Hi Amy! How was your weekend?
:-D

Not real fun but very productive. Put a new brake line in my ol Buick and wired my basement and installed our new electric dryer. Too many problems with the ol gas one and the gas Co. Wanted to go fishing, but the kids said it was too cold. They were probably right, but you know a bad day of fishing beats a good day under a rusty Buick.
