Default PCV question

I put a filter on the PCV and plugged the intake into the throttle body. Do I need to worry about replacing the PCV every 30k now? I mean, when it goes bad, does it stick open or close?

Aren't you going to blow oil out of the filter?

Default RE: PCV question

I did that because I was sick of all the oil still getting into the intercooler even after the oil catch can was installed. A year later I took out the catch can and I put a 4 foot hose on the PCV and ran it away from everything down low by the fog light with a filter at the end. Yes, I get oil dripping but I don't have the oil in the intercooler, and the turbo is not being wasted putting all that presure on the lines and PCV.

Is the PCV operation even needed since the other end of the valve cover has an outlet (I put a filter on that too, way down low by the fog light as well)?

It is just another idea, and it seems to be working for me. My only question is how long the PCV's are good for, and someone said 30k change them. Good enough for me.
