Default Help P0440 cell.

Switched the purge solinoid and gas cap and it keeps comming back. Any advice please.

Still didn't work. >.> I was told that the pcm is getting a ground signal so it's not doing what it's supposed to do correctly. I don't know if I should buy a new pcm or test the wires

did the evap canister come with a Natural Vacuum Leak Detection assembly?

the valve in the assembly seals the system and a vacuum sensitive switch closes and sends a signal to the pcm.

if the pcm isn't seeing the switch close, the possible causes are:
-system leak
-nvld valve stuck open
-vacuum switch stuck open or closed
-open circuit in the wiring from the switch to the pcm.
-blocked purge vacuum path

if you have a scan tool and hand held vacuum pump; its pretty easy to test the operation of the switch. maybe the switch is stuck closed

I'm surprised your getting a fault in the winter as the test is inhibited in temps below 39*F
