Ever since I've had my SRT-4 I've been slightly annoyed by what I thought was the flimsy construction of the body panel that hung down below the rear bumper, every time I washed the car the panel would flex and bend. Something didn't seem right.

I finally got down and dirty and looked up into that area and spotted two metal bars and a hole in the frame(?) where the two pieces would pivot to form a "V" shape and be held in place by a bolt forming a brace. But someone at the factory forgot to put that bolt in since there are no thread marks in the hole.

Tomorrow will mean a trip to the dealer, I don't have any bolts laying around the house even close to this size.....

I know exactly what your talking about, however both of mine are there. My friend Anthony's car left the dealer with no seat bolts....in the driver's seat. [>:]

 

I can't really slam on DCX for this, I had a "high quality" jap import pickup that was missing a motor mount fitting. The dealer thought I was kidding until he saw the engine.....[:'(]

Aaahhhh, fond memories of using the orbital polisher on that plastic bumper that first time i waxed her....lol. I better get under there to check things out.
