im with you on that. 15" steelies w/snows imho are the cheapest route <$100 is cheap for any new tire. leave the 4 for $99 on the shelves. I watched my co-worker burn up 17" 3 season michelin tires on his c230 compressor last year (after 7000 miles), he now is running dedicated snows.

Now when people say get "blizzaks"...I see there are a few different kinds. WS-50, LM22, LM25...might be more but thats what I saw on tire rack. It looks like the WS-50 is kind of the low end tire? Would that be enough for me? Or would one of the other two models be a better choice.
LM22's and 25's are higher performance and come in a v speed rating. The lm-25 comes in a 205/50-17 and the 22's don't so that soulhd help differentiate between the two for our use. They are very similar. If you want to leave snows on and still have some performance in the dry - a good way to go. They are excellent in the snow. WS-50's are good but don't have the sidewall reinforcement or speed rating, they will push a lot more and produce a lot of understeer. Any of the 3 are great in the bad weather.

Enough for you is relative. Me - I can't handle being disabled in the srt-4 on 15" wheels with high profile tires. The performance loss is unacceptable. I Have been very happy with the lm-25's.

Are you sure LM22s don't come in our size cause i just had some mounted on the stock wheels at a local Firestone. The ticket says LM22.

Well I can guarantee we get probably 2 or 3 times more snow here then you do where you're at, so having a "high" performance winter tire isn't that big of an issue for me. I love to drive fast, corner hard (hard enough to lay stripes), etc. But this time of the year is a no go for this area. I have my summer tires waiting for that. I picked up a set of Hankook W404's in 185/65/15 and threw them on my stock rims. I'll voice my opinion on them once I get some snow to drive around in...which should be here tomorrow night.

That was just what tire rack told me. Usually they are on point so I didn't question it. I am surprised. Now I am curious about the differnce.

My 215/60/16's handle and ride very well in the dry actually. Surprisingly so. They are not "V" rated, but also being from Michigan as LowSlow, going 130 mph is just ludicrous this time of year. Even so, I'd trust my tires to be able to do it. Not that I plan to.

Yeah, i checked tirerack too and they didn't carry them. But i think if you look on the Bridgestone website you will see that they do make them. Or at least they did. The service guy had to make 3 calls to find some.
