Are there rca jacks on the back of the factory kicker head unit? I was thinking I could use my alpine (1-2-3 channel) amp on the factory sound system. Im not looking to blow out windows, just thinking the factory speakers would sound deeper with a bit more power behind them. I was under the impression that there would be more "white noise" if im not running it thru rca cables.

 

I dont believe the factory has RCA cable out puts. I had to replace the head unit when I installed my amp and subs.

 

i havent seen any rca ports it looks like its a single unit with all the wires going into it and soldering inside. i got an aftermarket head unit and it sounds a little better but i want to add 1 more 12 or 2 8inch sony xplod p5s with another amp since the factory sub is powered from the same channels as the speakers and it frees up the sub outputs on my head unit

 

Nope, no RCA outs on the stock HU.

 

Not trying to turn this into an audio argument, but I strongly advise you against getting the sony xplod subs. They are undoubtedly some of the worst you can get.

 

also not trying to argue, i had 2 8" P5s with a custom box in my 67 mustang and had to take them out because they were literally making the car rattle apart. my glovebox fell off its hinges and the decklid lost 2 bolts. im guessin it was how i made the box a little under the sq. footage recomendations and amplified it a lil under max handling power but for how much it cost me i was content. it sounded much better than if it were 1 15". plus i sold the system for $175 more than i bought it for. its just like when i say to my friend who owns one of the fastest srt-4s with stage 0 what i wanna do with my car he says no thats stupid, no that sucks, well to him it might be stupid and suck but for me thats the way i want to set up my car. its more personal pref.
