1/4 mile times... HELP

One thing I noticed today is I didn't really have any wheel hop, but a ton of spin. And it was cool out, low 50s so the old country road I was on I'm sure wasn't the best place for traction. But it was a learning experience, I look forward to getting more practice in and hopefully cutting the times down quite a bit. I wasn't expecting it to be easy, but I didn't think it would be quite as hard either.

Also note that in the mid 50's your engine is producing power at its most efficient level. 55 degrees or so is the magic temperature where air carries the most oxygen. So the slight lack of grip from tires which are optimized to run at around 85 degrees will be amplified. That being said - my best times have come at that mid 50's temperature on the track.
