Body colors are different, engine/performance is the same.

Unless you listen to the people that are having transmission problems with their 05's. Some seem to have a lot of trouble with shifting into 3rd. Mines an 05 though, I just rolled the 14K mile mark and no problems at all. Who knows. I hope it doesn't happen!

05's have different ecu programing due to them not using the battery temp sensor.

if you look around on the 3000 forums that srt's have, you'll hear about the 3rd gear problems, a batch of 05's going out with bent valves, and that overall they just don't seem to respond to mods the way that 03-04's do. no one knows why.

Go to the thread on page 4 from SRT4 kid. We had discussed this once before. Some good info in there. PSI Chick is correct. The 05's for some reason are not as quick stock. Car and Driver tested an o4 and showed a 5.3 second 0-60. The 05 they tested was 0-60 in 5.8. They even said in the article the car seemed down on power compared to the last tester.

The SRT4 still blew the doors off the competition in that test.

As is widely known, the Black 04 is the nastiest of the bunch and usually the fastest.

yup....^ I agree. Could be "boost leak" issues on the 05 tester though.

Like I said before. they make the engine in Mexico, and the tooling is probably getting long in tooth.
