To help keep the motor clean, try using S100, motor conditioner(name might be wrong it might be motor protectant or something) spray the motor down, this will keep the aluminum from corroding, I use it on my Harley and Buell, and works good. It also makes cleaning the motor off. I have heard of people using a light spraying of Pam, but not sure if that would work on a motor. It works great on aluminum and wheel wells, and makes it very easy to get the grim off. This could be good for those that live near the ocean. I live in the midwest so during the winter there is a lot of salt on the roads so it is essential to protect bare metal, ect. PEACE

Make sure you get the smaller version they make...the larger one will just barely fit and sits REAL CLOSE to the fan belt and pully...I took mine off and opted instead for the "$20 Catch Can explained elsewhere in DF...

If I spray Pam on my turbo, I may be able to grill up some burgers or hot dogs for Memorial Day!!! At least I'll have the best smelling SRT-4 around!!![sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]

a rotary tool would be too easy to mess up...

I waxed the door jambs when I furst got it but I haven't done it lately. Also a hent to some of you. Try waxing your wheels, it take a while to do it, but it makes them clean up a whole lot easier. Same way under the hood, once you wax it, dirt doesn't stick to the engine and it simply washes off without chemicals.
I always waxed my R/T's wheels and I also wax my SRT-4's wheels. Since they are clear coated they should be waxed. The same goes for all painted or coated wheels.[sm=smiley20.gif]

hey 71, this is dads old car. He sold this to buy the viper. He bough this car in 73 from an old man. He raced it and it ran high 11-low 12s. His best accomplishhment wascar shows. our attic is full of trophies from that car. an honest guess would be 100+ trophies and then some plaques.

it is the 68 bird, black with red stripes.

Those are all great cars.[sm=smiley20.gif] My dad is doing the same, he almost always walks away with a trophy/plaque. He was 1st place in the overall standings in 67-70 B-body modified for the Chrysler Classics with his '69 Charger. They had it in the current issue of Mopar Collectors Guide with a small picture, but they put in the wrong picture(it's someone else and their '68 Charger). He is quite pissed about it, they labeled the picture properly with his name and class, but has someone else's car pictured.[sm=smiley7.gif]

Well, we don't have a problem with salt down here, but if it helps in making it easier to keep them clean, I'll have to try it....something ELSE I've learned here....!!!![sm=smiley4.gif]

Got the last part I needed for the $20 Oil Catch Can today in the mail. Shipping took 3 days, not too bad. I'll put it on tomorrow after I get off of work and get a few pix as well...[sm=smiley4.gif]

Put the $21.31 catch can on this evening. Pretty straight forward install. Cut the lines at the connection points at the PCV valve and the hard plastic line, eyeballed how much line I thought I'd need for each side, zip tied the bowl (with the arrow facing towards the TB) to the a/c line and pushed the hoses on. Total time, w/a time-out for a beer, 18 minutes.

I asked Amanda to re-size a couple of photos I took. Will post them as soon as I get them back....[sm=smiley4.gif]
