Anyone on here familiar with the needswings downpipe. I've heard alot of good things about it. My real question is if i get the version with the high flow cat, will have have problems with emissions? Thats my main issue with this car; everything I seem to want will give me problems passing emissions. I want the stage kits with toys but they wouln't pass. I know some people are building a trans simualtor to get around this but i'm not sure how much or when it will be ready. I tried to get some answers on the other site but all you get there are smart *** comments most of the time if you don't know every single detail about your car. Most of the things I learn about the car are from this site and the srt forums. I'm new to a trubo car and the whole aspect of it, but i am learning as I go.

I use Thermal R&D on my cars, and it is the one I recommend. They make a lot of private lable parts for other companies. It maybe the samething.

 

Where are you from and what kind of emissions inspections do you have to go through?

In most cases it's not legal to remove OR replace the cat on your vehicle. This is federal law. The thing is many places have very easy or even no inspection and thats how a lot of people get around it.

For the rest of us, basically the regulations are to REPLACE a cat

If the vehicle is missing a converter.
If a state or local inspection program has determined the existing converter has been lead-poisoned or damaged or otherwise needs replacement; or
If the vehicle is more than eight years old or has more than 80,000 miles, and a legitimate need for replacement has been established and documented.

And if you happen to fall into one of those the regulations then are

The Converter be installed in one of the three situations outlined above.
The Converter be installed in the same location as the original converter(s).
The Converter be the same type as the original converter (i.e., oxidation, three-way or three-way plus oxidation).
The Converter be the proper one for the vehicle application as determined and specified by the manufacturer.
The Converter be connected properly to any existing air injection components on the vehicle.
The Converter be installed with any other required converters for a particular application.
The Converter be accompanied by a warranty information card to be filled out by the installer.

I plan right now to run a catless DP with cut out, and just swap my stocker back on when it comes time for emissions which isn't for another four years for me.

All I know is Mi has NO inspections, testing or otherwise, and we have 93 octane! WooooHoooo! I lived for almost 20 years where I did, (have to test) and I DO NOT miss it.

On another note; What's up with Needswings website? Wasn't working for crap when I was there last.
