Default Boost Level?

I recently installed stage 1 and a agp wastegate. I currently have the wastegate adjusted to hold 15 psi, spiking around 17-18 psi. Later this week I will be installing the greddy profec spec II boost controller. Will it be safe for me to hold 17 psi and spike, I'm guessing around 18-19 psi with the stage 1 fuel setup. Or will this be pushing it a little much.

That sounds fine to me. I know that most people say 16psi is the safe limit for stock ECU, but with stage 1 I think 17psi should be ok.

Thats wierd..... it must be the climate but down here in Miami the SRT my buddy has spikes 27lbs and holds 22-24 depending on boost controller setting. and its running near rich with s1 pcm and s1 injectors. nothing else in the essence of fuel.

Could it be the climate????

Speaking of the devil lol i remember when we were installing the cams and springs that when we hooked up the air hose into the heads so that the valves would not drop we heard a hiss (air leak) leaking from 2 pistons... in other words bad rings or possibly other things going bad ... But you have to think about what you do to it..... I have learned that if you want ONE HECK OF A CAR get a srt4.. its fast, easy to mod, and tough... we didnt know but he ran for about 3 months drag racing every weekend and daily commuting about 50miles per day on 1/2 pint of tranny fluid.... last night we checked it and to our amazement... no MORE than a mouthfull of listerine comes out of the tranny. we were in shock! but went to discount (local autoparts store) and got 3 quarts of oil and bam new tranny lol it was incredible!
