Absolutely none. The MSD puts out the exact same voltage as the stock coil. I'm sure the MSD coil is made better than the factory coil though. I bought one for my '99 Neon R/T and when I had to sell the R/T I took the coil off to put on my SRT-4, it has been on my SRT-4 ever since. I have been using it for close to 5 years now and have been using the MSD Super Conductor wires with it the whole time, but I had to replace the wires due to a rodent trying to keep warm in the winter that snacked on the plug wires leaving little holes in them.

For those who are thinking of getting the MSD coil for their SRT-4 or for any Neon, I suggest using the money elsewhere since the coil output is the same as the stock coil. However, I highly recommend anyone with an SRT-4 or any other 2.4L/2.0L DOHC to get the MSD Super Conductor plug wires, they will increase spark hundreds of times more than the stock wires as well as smoothing out the idle, increasing throttle response and increasing fuel mileage. Most also tend to notice that their exhaust gets a little louder, which seems odd or impossible, but when you think about it it doesn't since the better hotter spark will burn the fuel air mixture more completely. They are well worth getting. The coil is worth getting if you've already done everything else as I would since it is very well made.
