Default A tip for TPS victims

Anyone out there who is experiencing TPS related problems, I recommend this solution. Drive the **** out of your car so the wiring goes bad quick. I had to make 3 trips to the stupid dealer (2 dealers actually). First they just replaced the sensor, I told them i'd be back soon. Two weeks later, at another dealer, they told me the bucking and rpm fluctuation was from my OCC misting......right....

Finally I took it in today with the CEL on and told them blatantly that the TPS wiring and sensor were bad. They did decide this was the case but only because the code read that this was the problem. I guess what I am pissed about is that all dealers should be aware of this problem by now. The sensor should not randomly go bad with only 9K miles on the car, something caused it (ie the wiring). Does Dodge not hire mechanics that actually use logic when they work on cars or do the just grab the nearest shlub who can lift a wrench and hook up the car to the code reader. Venting terminated, thank you for your time! [&:]

it is not only dodge who hires people claiming to be true mechanics , my wife had a 05 focus st adn the tranny was acting up bad adn she took it into the local dealership and they called her 3 days later and said it was fixed when she got ther they gave her the keys and we went to leave and as we are making a left turn out of there service lot onto the sales lot and the steering wheel was turning but not the car and they tried to tell me that i altered the steering when i picked up the car final solution was the mechanic neglected to place something back in the tranny but it only took them 3 weeks to fix and then i had it put under the lemon law becasue it was in the shop 17 times in the first three months we had it alot of it was electrical

Just to let you know, you can buy the TPS wiring repair kit here (in case you want to do a pre-emptive strike on the problem):
