Slicks/traction
Hey guys, im brand new to this forum i have a 2004 E blue srt-4
Im sure there are a lot of posts and info for slicks for srt's, but id personally like to talk to someone "face to face" about it. Id just like a general pricing and what size/type of rims and slick combos i should go for. I have quite a bit of time to figure out what im doing for traction as racing season isnt for a while yet. The last track i went to last year was horrible, anyone without slicks on this track was gifted with no traction and wheelspin all the way down the track. The best run i could do was a 10 sec in the 1/8... so disgraceful.
My list of mods for the upcoming season are going to be (maybe) (critism welcome)
K&N typhoon CAI
mopar stage 2 w/toys
AGP dog bone motor mounts
slicks hopefully..
and get rid of the mopar rice bov for somthing better.
-thanks for the input

RE: Slicks/traction
i have no idea what the prices are in cdn, but i can give you the us prices and you can convert i guess.
good lightweight wheels aren't cheap. you can get a set of kosei k1's for about $300 or so, but they'll be used as they don't make them anymore. the new lightweight wheel that people are using are the motegi traklite. they go for $250 or so a piece.
slicks are going to run you around $100-$125 each, depending on who you go with. m/t or m&h seem to be the best choices for our cars.
