SRT 4 within 600 bucks from totalled
they dont make many body kits for the srt-4 and the ones they do are like the EVO style kit and the STI style kit making your beautiful srt look like something that came from japan[sm=boosign.gif]. i like the way MChat has his front bumper set up without the crosshairs. i was thinking of removing the crosshairs on mine and replacing them with something that looks like viper fangs and putting red neons behind them to light up the intercooler.
actually wings west i just found out is back and thay have a body kit that looks pretty good w/o the fender flares and buddy club 2 has one that is ok anf there is one out there that starts with an F but they are f'n expensive but after all i think that i am going to stick with the stock look besides the sweet fenders that i found and Carbon Fiber Hood UNIQUE thats what i am looking for something that no one else has ya know what i mean. Everyone that owns an srt has an SRT I want an SRT with flash but not to much dont want OVERKILL just enough to make it look better NOT THAT IT DOESNT LOOK GOOD ANYWAY but flashy. I got 99% of under the hood done power wise now it is time for outside and a better stereo system and maybee to flash under the hood a little more something to make it sparkle ANY IDEAS EVRYONE
First and foremost, Im glad everyone is okay.
Second. I like the Kaminari rear, the Wings West Sides, and either the Kaminari lip or CBD front chin spoiler. I like the CBD OEM style hood (what I have with painted sides). Those are my suggestions for body kits.

I dont like the Kaminari CF hood at all. I only like their front lip and rear bumper. Wings west I like the side skirts.

Thank goodness you're all OK.
I've heard from some people that factory replacement body parts are even more expensive than the CF pieces, so you might want to skip the "cheap parts" idea and get your repair estimates from dealers. Then, once the insurance company cuts the check, tell the shop what parts you want them to buy where. At least that's what I've heard; someone correct me if I'm wrong. Fortunately I haven't had to deal with this for a long, long time.
$600 from being totaled? Man, I'd sneak in and pop an airbag or something! That's all it'd take.

Yes, OEM parts are "usually" more expensive than aftermarket ones. The hood for our cars retails at almost 1,000 dollars. And no, Im not kidding. Driver side components are more expensive than passenger side (for whatever reason), which doesnt make sense because the fender on the passenger side has an inlet for an antenna. .0000002 extra hours of labor, but its ch eaper.
Just take it to the shop you want to work with. Talk to the foreman or the owner and ask them if they'd be willing to work with aftermarket parts. MOST shops will NOT bother with them. They don't fit to OEM specs on all cars, since no car is the same. And with a car that has a damaged frame, putting an aftermarket part on it because all the more a PIA.
Say nothing to your insurance company, let the shop handle it. And you may not get a check back in the end. You never know.
