Just looking at some of the sights and sounds of the car world lol, what do you guys think of the new volkswagon coming out....seems decent with a 200hp turbo engine

The specs look OK, but nothing for a SRT-4 to worry about. VW has some major QC problems according to most reports, so I'd avoid them till they get their act together.....IMHO

Jetta GLI isn't new...you know...the Jetta with 18"s and a front lip (the only jetta that looks decent). The new one apparently has more power (claimed) but looks hideous.

 

I don't think it looks that bad - I have seen a bunch around where I live. But, I have to agree with Dusty, after all the problems with QC they have had, I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole. Example, my good friend has a Golf TDI which he loves, but is afraid of to a small degree, see, he has had it in for serious electrical issues 5 times in the 1.5 years he has owned it. Last time there was smoke pouring out of the steering column due to crimped wires that wore through and shorted, almost burned him alive on the hwy. V6's have historically all had bad coil packs, and seat levers are constantly snapping on them. Nice cars to drive, but miserable to own.

 

yeesh lol, i have only had one experience with them, my friend has an older style jetta with a turbo, he's my regular race buddy lol, but he hasnt had one problem with it yet, maybe because its older
