Default Reset the computer after mods?

Just wondering if you're supposed to, or if it's a good idea, to reset the computer after putting on mods.

I always do. It lets the computer "forget" the old piece that you replaced and prepares it for the new mod. Just disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15-20 minutes and then reconnect it. After driving it a few miles, your computer should adapt to the new part.

Thanks... I didn't do it after the DP install, but I had to do a couple things today so I reset it today anyways after posting this...

It was boosting much higher right after reseting it... 14-15 in 2+ and it was crazy. But it dropped a few PSI after a few wots. Still feels real strong but it was kind of cool to see the 15

YES, YES, YES...... PLEASE RESET COMPUTER WHEN you MOD......

The PCM in our cars is very sensitive and will basicly self learn. Always reset the PCM when you mod, this will ensure you get the best performance increase from your modification.

Your PCM has no idea even if you just change spark plugs. Even if you replace an air filter, you should do a battery disconnect. After that it should be "Fat, Dumb, and Happy"! Kinda like me.[sm=bounceybounce.gif]
