Default droped trany fluid...

today i switched out my stock trany fluid with royal purple. just got back from a 10 min test drive and i like it. its not crazy amazing but there is a big difference in how smooth the shifts are now.

So it does feel great but im wondering what the extra 6 bucks a quart add? will this fluid stay at its "new" state longer than the average 3.50 a quart fluid?

I would think it would since it's synthetic vs. dino......did you put in the Mopar additive fluid as well?

when i was comparing royal purple and red line from this thread and another thread i started checking into them and royal purple first said they didnt currently make a fluid for the srt-4 then they said they did but it would void your factory warranty on your tranny that absolutely nothing to do with it would be covered anymore but the red line was good to go
was he full of crap or is there any truth in this??

It's up to your dealer. If they feel the fluid you added caused a problem, then they don't have to honor the warranty if the fluid doesn't meet MOPAR specs. How they can prove that would be up to the lawyers........
