i just installed a aem cai and i was racing one day and all of a sudden i heard the turbo gettin louder so i pulled over to see if maybe the intake came loose but its was good..... i noticed my vaccum was at 30. so i got on it hard to see and it wouldnt go past 10 on vaccum.. i dont know if its a boost leak or what

 

check your turbo tubing and vac lines. if your not boosting anything its not your intake because you can take your intake off and run open turbo if you want with no "real" problem (i wouldnt do it)

 

A agree - doesn't sound like the intake is the issue.

 

Check your breaks and see if you see any differents on your braking, If you feel the car isnt braking to its potential, you could have a leak soemwhere in the Master Cylinder (I think that is what its called or Power Booster) which is located directly behind your battery. Big round Black thing. That is where your Boost gauge reads vacuum from. Check all lines that are connected to that.
