so what are the problems with stage 1 and wga and how does it compare to stage 2 performance? what are cons and pros for both basically? this may be an old question but it still is unanswered in my head.
I know everyone is gonna ask whether you want your warranty and if u want to tune and whether u want mid or high range. i just want to konw your guys' opinion.
Record Breaker
You can get close to s2 performance with the setup - but I would say the issue is whether or not you want to be constantly messing with the car to keep it working right or if you just want the old plug and play. Personally I don't like aftermarket wga's because they req. rerouting of vac. lines---ie.potential leaks and issues.
RE: Stage 1 + WGA or Stage 2
I've had both set-ups. Now I'm running Stage 3 [sm=badbadbad.gif]
Ok, Pro's and cons- Well with Stage 2 without toys, Its plug and play. End of point!!! I ran the same 1/4 mile time with my stage 2 and stock air box, as I did with Stage 1, wga, boost controller, short ram intake.
The cons of the stage 1 and wga set up, is it requires some tunning, and you'll probably have partial throttle boost issues.
With Stage 2, the car is more driveable.
However, depending on how much performance you want to squeeze out of the stage 1, you can go wga, boost controller and a map clamp, tune it properly, and your going to have a BEAST!!!
but this also goes for stage 2, but this is getting into a higher degree of tuning.
Bottom line, Stage 2, plug and play.......
Stage 1, requires some time to play with.

Champion
Stage 1 and a WGA dont allow for as much boost as the S2 setup, and as stated before its plug and play with no issues
