if u look on the underside of the hood u will find 2 seperate vents where the air is dumped onto the turbo itself.

If your worried about bugs and debris getting in the hoods scoop, just put a peice of wire mesh in there to prevent this, while still allowing maximum air flow. That's what my plans are.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I have a love/hate relationship with that hood- on the one hand, it's an easy way to ditch weight by putting on a cf hood (plus I have a weakness for carbon fiber- it's just so damn sexy!), but no one makes a hood with air flow that comes anywhere close to the efficiency of the stock one- at least that I've been able to find. So I'm keeping the stock one for now- damn that well-designed hood!!

If they ever make the AAR Cuda style hood for the SRT-4, I'll be the first one to buy it. It's the best looking hood I've ever seen for any Neon and if you like function, it's got it. It's lighter and has a big opening/scoop right where you would want it for putting large amounts of air onto the turbo to keep it cooled down.

I'm just putting a "decal" on it to highlight the "2.4 Ltr Turbo" (or whatever is on it) and make it go faster and cool down the turbo....(just kidding about the second half, but serious about the first part)!!![sm=smiley4.gif]

I have thought about painting the lettering in before, but I decided not to, at least not yet.

Red. It will go with the SRT-4 on the fuel injector cover and the calipers. Plus, red will pop quite well on it.

Me too. In fact, the guy on Ebay gave me my second color for free (silver). My first choice was red (to match the brake calipers).[&:]

Silver works quite well too. I will probably go red on mine. I'm going with a red, black and silver/chrome theme with mine. The K&N I ordered, I went with the polished. I'll use the red on the small parts as accents, like the calipers and my ignition coil. I think I'll paint the metal part of the OCC red as well.[sm=smiley2.gif]
