Stage three practical?
this is for the poeple out there that forked out the cash for stage 3.
Does stage three give you realiability and durability that you thought it would give your srt-4?
Any problems encountered with stage 3, any dealership problems considering warranty?
Did you install stage 3 yourself?
Was it worth it to get stage 3 instead of going to a bigger kit like AGP?
and feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Stage 3 is by far the best purchase I made for my SRT-4. I could have gone the aftermarket turbo way, but I personally don't have the time for the extra tunning and I'm not out to make my car a 400 hp monster. Now the power with stage 3 is amazing. With HOM engaged, the car is just an animal. As for realiability and duribility issues, I have had none. I've also had stage 1, and stage 2 on the car. My car has 46000 miles on it and has never been to the dealership for a maint. issue. I change the oil every 3 grand with synthetic and change my plugs offten, otherwise thats it.
The Stage 3 was installed by an "EVO" tunner shop in my area. The guy that did my install had installed Stage 3 on another SRT-4. He did an awsome job!!! If I have any issues with my car, I would take it to him vs the dealershiip.
I think, overall, Stage 3 is the way to go. Mopar has proven it is a great product for the car. The best thing, is once installed, thats it. Your done. No need for a DTEC, or SAFC, or MAP clamp, or whatever other tuning tool you need.
Now, on the other hand, if you have the time and want to tune for the most HP, go with aftermarket. However, there is an SRT-4 that has broken into the 10's. Of course he has a total engine build, but his turbo is a Stage 3. So this proves if you want to go max hp, you can with a stage 3.

asking about stage 3 and a warranty in the same sentence is laughable. dealers are giving people issues with stage 1, there's no way they're going to warranty anything with stage 3! if you're concerned about your warranty, don't bother with stage 3. it's not like the techs would know how to fix it even if something did go wrong anyway......
