Default Tranny or clutch issues(UPDATE:Clutch replace)

I have had the car for almost a month now and i find it really hard to get into gear sometimes. its not much a problem shifting into gear when im moving but more of a problem when i am stopped and in neutral and then pushing it into in 1st. The clutch pedal is all the way to the floor and it still wont open up, sometimes i have to put it back and forth three times unitl i can forcefully squeeze it in to 1st. It was even more of a problem last night after i was ripping up and down and street for a couple of minutes. After i was done going fast i come to a complete stop, go to put it gear and it wont open up, plus when i put the clutch in a noise goes away from engine bay, once i let the clutch off the noise comes back.

Should i take it in a demand a new tranny and clutch!!!!!

Take it to you dealer and explain the problem and then have them test drive it with you riding along. If they can duplicate the problem, they should fix it. If not, you'll be facing an uphill battle trying to get them to fix something that isn't broken (in their eyes).
Be polite when explaining the problem. Hopefully you don't have any major mods on the car yet, it's one less way they can try to get out of fixing what's wrong.....

Most of the time I have to double clutch to downshift into 1st gear when coming to a stop. My transmission has always had a difficult time synching up while downshifting so I often rev-match also. After a while it just becomes a habit to rev-match and double clutch while downshifting.

In your case try double clutching when going into 1st and it should slide right in. You are going to have a hard time getting the dealer to do any work on it unless there is a grind or something.

And the noise you are hearing is just the throwout bearing...no problems...it is normal.

hey thanks guys for the replies, i called my 5 star dealer today and they will pick the car up tomorrow and see whats wrong with it. I quess we will have to see what they say, the only thing is that it doesnt happen all the time, so with my luck it probally wont happen when they have it. Otherwise i hope it acts up so the dealership can have something to work from....also i asked them to check for boost leaks, at first the lady was like confused and thought i was driving a truck(this is why i dont like to go to the dealership)[:-]

My trans had the same issue until I put a lot of miles on it. It wasn't until about 7500 miles that my trans would down shift without rev-matching down to 2nd or 3rd. It took even longer for 1st gear to break in. Even at 10500 miles now, I still have to push hard on the gear shift to engauge 1st gear if I'm already stopped. But it is getting much better with age. Isn't there a pill for these shift fits were having?

well the verdict is in and my clutch is done, well not completly done but the clutch is not disengauging like it should the tech's say. Its shifting to hard and the clutch needs to be replaced.

The car has 47,000kms on it and it needs a ****ing clutch allready, the owner before must of bitch slapped breakstands everyday!!!!!......I am either going to see what a aftermarket one cost or hopefully get it covered because i have only owned the car for a month. The dearlship i bought it from is being difficult and a pain so the dealership i went to now is bitching at them about it. The service manager at the place I went to now is calling up the other 5 star dealer and hopefully i will be geting a new clutch for nothing if everything works out.

Today was a long and stressfull day, i bitched out the salesman i bought the car from, and i had to hear that i needed a new clutch and the total with labour would be 1300!!!!

Im not happy[&o]
