Default Another boost question - help

I now have almost 18,000 miles on the SRT-4. It doesn't seem to have the same power as before and the boost is down about 4 to 5 pounds. I have changed plugs and wires about 3000 miles ago. I do not have an engine light coming on so I'm afraid to take it to the dealer because I know he is going to charge $75 to put it on the computer. Worst of all a Mustang GT pulled up to me at a light and took off like he was racing me. I would like to get this SRT-4 running right so I can go find this SOB. Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated. My the way, it is stock so far. Thanks.

SRT4's have a kinda preset torque level they're shooting for so-to-speak compared to most other cars. I saw it many times when I was still using computer controlled boost in my car. In colder weather, where most cars make more boost, more power, and run faster, we kinda linger around the same power level, and lose boost pressure to keep it there. You will run higher peak #'s on a hot day then a cold with these cars until you take the factory pcm out of the equation.

Checking for boost leaks isn't too terribly difficult though. If your luck is anything like mine though, it's going to be where the hotside pipe connects to the compressor outlet on the turbo LOL

Check all your vacuum hoses and make sure they are nice and tight. Then check BOTH Intercooler hoses! Make sure they are on nice and clamped. My left intercooler hose came off a long time ago and I was boosting Very low, put it back on and now im boosting 18psi and holding 16-17 etc.

Thanks for your replies. I have checked all the hoses I can reach but I'm sure there are some I didn't. It goes on the hoist Friday and I will check everything (I hope) The wife don't know it but I also ordered her new MSD wires and NGK Iridium spark plugs. Gotta get this baby running right. I just love to drive this thing.

OK, this is what I did. I tightened all the hoses (didn't seem loose) put in NGK Iridium plugs, MSD wires, checked for engine codes (Nothing) Still seems doggy to me. Let my son drive it and he felt the same. It doesn't have (like before) the same feel when taking off or when stepping on it. It spools up real slow and doesn't reach the same boost as before. Any ideas?

Moparman04, that is the diagram I went by to tighten all the clamps. I got them all, it wasn't easy but I got them. Thank you. I still am at a loss, I have no idea what it could be. I guess I will let 5 star figure it out. Thank you for your replies.
