Default Spoiler Removal

How do you go about removing the spoiler safely doing no damage to the paint? And also, what do you plug the holes with that the spoiler will leave?

Like always, thankyou

Look under the top of the trunklid - I haven't looked, but i bet there are 4 nuts to unscrew. Anyone? Amy?

As far as the plugs - I'll see if i can find the link and post it up - I have it here somewhere.

Four bolts under the deck lid, then pry it carefully. It tends to stick to the decklid where the rubber isolators are. Just be careful not to scratch the decklid, the studs on the spoiler are sharp.

As for plugs, what color is your car? I used the forward door panel clips off of a Magnum for my car. They come in Ivory, black, and grey. AND THEY DONT LEAK WATER!!!!!.

Let me know, I can get U some part numbers if your interested.

Four 10 mm nuts, it might take some pressure to get it off.

I used the same thing RIPSIGUY did when I had my AVS downdraft on the car. However one of the holes is smaller than the rest, and its the one on the passenger side closest to the front of the car. You may have to drill that one out a bit to get the plug to stay.

Either that or NightShades the company sells trunk plugs.

it's easiest if you have two people when removing the wing. unscrew the bolts and then close the trunk and lift up the spoiler. that way it doesn't scratch anything! the paint under the wing can be kinda nasty from all the junk that gets stuck in there, you might have to clean it pretty well once the wing is off.

Yup Yup, what she said. (PsiChick) TWO people to lift it off. It's odd shape can make handling it tricky.
