Default SRT4 with "easier" seats

Last night I stopped to get a part for my '95 neon when I was drawn inexplicably to the SRT4 in silver on their lot. I think I found a new appreciation for silver, though I would probably still want mine in black.

However, it had the side air bag "toned down" seats in it. First one I'd seen/sat in/driven that had those. I've thought before on argument not to buy SRT was the seats--not comfortable to me, and I didn't want to pay extra for plain neon seats, but. . . the "plain" seats aren't that bad. They have pretty good side bolsters and the seat back rises a lot more than my low back bucket '95 seat. I could definitely go for those. It would make my 150 miles a day a lot easier.

Anybody in this forum buy an SRT with those seats? How's both the comfort and the staying power for hard cornering?

imo having the stock style (viper style) seats work great when using the torque that the srt 4 has, ive driven other cars with normal style seats and i dont like them as much when moving quick.

Yeah, they took a little getting used to, but I can now understand the reasoning behind them. I think "red91RT" (above) has the SRT-4 fever.......[sm=smiley36.gif]

"Uh huh. Hmmmm." (Doctor strokes his goatee)..."First you were "inexplicably drawn" to the SRT-4. Now you are in denial. Classic symptoms of SRT-4itis. You have a 50-50 chance of getting through this with your wallet intact. That'll be $150 dollars, please." (Doctor grins from ear to ear because he owns a SRT-4 too and can now afford Stage 2)

I knew you were up to something tempting me like that all the time. But you must hold a Doctorate of Psychology, eh?

***No more tempatation. Wife says I can't have a car in 2004 (not even used) unless I get a job that's coming up with a friend with a significant bonus. Since they just put a freeze on that job (like today basically, heard about it at lunch) for 3 months I reckon I won't be buying myself a car this year. Have to stick to the regular Neon forum for a while.[sm=smiley19.gif]

I got the neon ighline seats in mine. I had a hard time squeezing my rather ample posterior in the recaro's. Anyway's, I went to the dealer looking for a Quad Cab Ram. I saw the SRT and asked to drive it. By the time I hit 3rd gear, I had an ear to ear grin. My wife just rolled her eyes and said "Well I know what we're driving home today". But the seats are just fine. I drive 23 miles each way to work everyday, so these seats are a much better idea that the recaro's. I haven't had any issues with cornering, but my a$$ fills the seat up, so there isn't much room for me to go anywhere.
