so i bought a mbc off of ebay and i set it up inline from the green solenoid to the wastegate and all it does is bleed off boost into the atmosphere. it peeks at like 20 psi and then slowly drops to like 11 psi. my question is is there anything i can do to keep it to hold at like 18 psi? why wont it hold at least at 14 psi like stock. what should i do to get the boost to hold at like 18 psi?

 

Turn it down a bit, play with it until you get it right. It wont hold 18psi on a stock wga, the stock wga only has a 4lb spring, its not strong enough to hold that. You should at least hold 13-14 maybe slightly less.

 

after playing with it i can get it to hold at 15-16 in 3rd-5th gear.

 

Boost controllers just take a bit of tuning, keep the spike between 17-18 unless you have some upgraded fuel mods. Running lean is no good.

 

yeah it doesnt spike any higher than 16 psi. it gets there and then just sits around 15 psi. im happy. its pretty good for a $20 mbc.

 

yea and dont add a spring to ur wastegate not a good idea just buy one agp or anything other then a spring.
