I wouldn't waste the extra money on the cai for the minimal if any performance gains.

Yep, they show no difference in performance.

Plus:

CAI has a chance of suckin in water (hydrolock) and putting your engine in a hault.

CAI is more expensive.

SRI's are usually louder (thats a plus for me)

Yes they do

Plus:

CAI has a chance of suckin in water (hydrolock) and putting your engine in a hault.

Only if the filter is completely submerged, which is damn near impossible to do

CAI is more expensive.

50 bucks maybe?

SRI's are usually louder (thats a plus for me)

"Yes they do".

Yes they do on SOME cars...

Not on Our SRT-4 TURBO cars. The quicker turbo responce definetly makes up if there is any. Go check out the numbers.

And yes 50 bucks. 50 bucks you do not need to be spending. and sometimes 100 bucks more.

My AEM SRI was like 130 bucks (I got a discount)

The Mopar CAI is 292.00....thats a bit more than 50 bucks.

For the minimal gains, dont bother. Get the SRI, it does the job.

That's cheating, your going by the most expensive CAI available.[sm=devilangel.gif] The K & N CAI is only $199 shipped to your door.

I prefer CAI's myself and when properly insulated they are far better than a hot air short ram. If you cannot chose, just get the K & N Typhoon CAI as it can be used as either a CAI or a short ram.
