I was told from a few members in the Neon Section to post my question in here cuz theres a lot more knowledge. anyways I have an 02 Dodge Neon (base) automatic with a cold air intake and high flow muffler. I want to install a Garrett T3 Turbo Kit and I can get about everything for around 1,300 on ebay (intercooler n piping included)

Should I do it? I'm 17 years old n getting a different car isnt really an option because technically the car is still my parents. What kind of PSI could I run on a basicly stock engine?

 

Its gonna take more than 1300 to get that Neon runnin a nice turbo setup. You need a ton of supporting mods.

Fuel mods, fuel pump, bigger injectors...

on top of that, im not sure how that auto tranny will hold up with power.

Then the engine, you may need some upgrades to the engine, and on top of that if you are puttin down some power, your gonna start snapping axles left and right...

so yea, before you do this, just know it takes more to get a n/a car going than just a turbo and intercooler. .

You might be able to get the turbo and intercooler for 1300, but the rest of it is in excess of another 1300.
