I had an Escort GT- the only thing it had more of than a SRT is torque steer. I don't think Ford did much more than change the name.
Are you out of your mind?

1997-2003 Escort ZX2:
Powertrain Options and Availability
All sedans and wagons carried an overhead-cam 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, making 110 horsepower. The 1998 ZX2 got a more potent dual-overhead-cam 2.0-liter four, producing 130 horsepower. A 5-speed manual gearbox was standard on all models; 4-speed automatic transmission optional.
Horsepower 130 @ 5750
Torque (lb-ft) 127 @ 4250
0 to 60 mph 7.4 sec
1/4 mile (E.T.) 15.7 sec

Based on Dodge's figures we have exactly 100 more horsepower (and the escort ratings arent even to the wheels), and 123 more lbs-ft of torque. And the escort has more torque steer?

The Escort GT had a whopping 127 horsepower with a turbocharger...

My Escort GT had the worst torque steer of anything I've ever driven. It used to pull even when you didn't lay into it. (not that you could really lay into it either) I don't think it was because it was powerful, because it wasn't, just poorly designed. I had to fight it even from a stop to 30mph- maybe I had a lousy one.

I was joking about my first race challenge.

I was gonna say, the torque steer when you lay into these cars is horrific, especially around a corner, and EVEN more so when you add more HP to the car.

That sounds more like a dragging wheel issue than a torque steer issue, potentially a suspension problem.

yea lots of torque steer....im all over the road when i really step on the gas......alot of my problem is i tend to leave my shift hand on the shifter..so im driving with one hand

trick is to get your gear shifted and had back on the wheel quick.. i just need practice

So there would be nothing wrong with using octane booster on a regular basis then?
Stay away from the octane boosters, most of them are harmful to your engine and only raise your octane a tiny amount....."points" are 1/10 of an octane number. Something that raises your octane by 5 "points" only raises it by 1/2 of an octane number....

So would there be a noticable difference in 91 and 93 octane in this car?

Some people get a ping with 91. I only have 93 around me, a few stations have 91, 92, and 94. But I didnt notice a difference the one time I got 91. Then again, the people who notice the difference are usually from Cali (they dont have 93) and its over a prolonged use of the 91.
