Questions on tires
Okie dokie, I have 16,600 miles on my car, I rotated the tires at the 6k, 12, and will on the 18k oil change. When I went in for the last time (15k) they rated the front tires at yellow and suggested I get them rotated or replace. Then I noticed on the right front tire, you can't see the threads yet, but you can see marks I guess you would call them looking like the tops of the threads. Can I rotate them again, or should I just replace them?
When did you all replace yours?
When did you all replace yours?

It's time for new rubber. You have two options, you can replace just the front two tires, which I never suggest because I think its pointless. You can also get a new set all the way around. You can afford to rotate them one more time, but I wouldnt suggest many high speed adventures.I was in a similar boat recently, had to get new rubber. It was like $520 for new tires....just 4 Kuhmo tires...which arent bad....but I got new rims and tires for $752 delivered to my house....so while you may not be able to do that....its something to consider....

I got my wheels and rims from edgeracing. So did MidnightBlueNeon and a couple others....good wheels & tires, decent prices.
30K on stock tires? you guys mus drive like old ladies! i'm at 26k on my car and just put on my fourth set of tires, and i don't even use street tires at the track anymore! the stock kdws are garbage, get rid of them. they're an awesome tire for about 5 or 6k, then they just suck.
you have two options really on where to go from here (depending on where you live). you can get a good set of all season tires and call it a day. or you can get a high performance summer tire and put them on a rim, then get a set of snow tires and throw them on the stock rims or a set of steelies. of course if you live in fl, cali, az, or somewhere like that snow tires aren't an issue. i haven't a clue where you're at......
i just switched to goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3's and they're a great tire, i couldn't be happier with them. i got then from discountiredirect for $580 shipped, which is an awesome price (got them in a gb). they have good prices anyway, and they're quick to ship and easy to deal wtih. i would definetly suggest them....

Thanks for the advice . . . I'm in Colorado right now, and these poor little stockies have been used for summer and snow tires. . . thought I would be ok until it SNOWED here yesterday. WTF? Only in CO can it literally be 80 one day and snow the next. . . anyway I will be moving to Cali here shortly and since I have to drive the sucker out there, I plan on getting them before hand.
Thanks for the advice, I may be looking in to rims and tires vs. just tires. . . .
