My friend is trying to remove his rear disc brake on his 03' srt-4. We are having a problem removing the disc. He said the book said something about brake line adjustment. Is there any way to take off the rear disc w/o having to remove console? or from outside the car? he said its a disc/drum combo thing but idk too much about srt-4's i own a gen 1 neon. any help is greatly appreciated.

 

I haven't had to pull mine yet, but remove the console??? Maybe you're talking about a disc changer? As far as I know, the rear brakes are disc. Pull off the rim, and have at the caliper. If you are trying to take off the rotor? I'm not sure, but I would assume that like most modern disc brake systems, it is sandwiched between the rim and the hub. (RIPSIGUY or one of the SRT Babes should be able and willing to correct me if I'm wrong)

ive owned a few disc brake cars and after i removed the caliper on them i was able to pull off the disc after taking off the cotter pin but on this idk. we tried alot of things and it wouldnt budge. but thanks for the help. i hope were able to get it off soon
