K&N Cold Air ?
Wow, it's been awhile since I was on here, but a move to Richmond, VA from Chicago and buying my first house have kept me busy. That doesn't mean I haven't been working on my SRT. I have a couple questions for you all though:
I put on the K&N cold air intake a couple months ago and I love it. I converted it to the short ram because it was raining quite a bit and I didn't want to intake any water. The short ram version just doesn't have the same feel though and I don't have the time to keep converting from short ram back to cold air everytime the weather gets bad (this is my primary mode of transportation). How likely is it that the cold air is intaking water during bad weather?
Also, I just changed my oil and noticed there was some dripping from the outlet house from the intercooler, the one running to the throttle body. Any ideas on the one? Thanks for you help, it's good to be back.

If your CAI was sucking in water, you would know. Best bet is to avoid deep puddles in your daily driving or just leave the short intake on until the monsoon season passes. They do sell float devices that block off the intake if you hit deep water......

http://www.aempower.com/product_intake.asp?subCatID=3 Thats the valve he's talking about, it prevents the water problem. I don't know if this one will work with a k&n filter though.
