Every morning, me, my 6 yo son and 9 yo daughter hop in for the quick jaunt to base before and after school care center. About 4 miles. Same thing in the afternoon. %90 of our family trips (and all five long ditance ones) are done in the SRT. 33K in a year and 4 months. So, yep, passengers all the time.

It is/was done that way on the rear windows of most cars as a safety feature, to keep children from being able to climb/fall out when the window is down.

I think the reason those windows are manual crank style is cost too... sure... it's not that much if you pan it out over a production line... but... $200 a car means big money for 20,000 cars... which means probably another $500-$600 on the sticker price of the car who wants that??? not me... heck... the only thing that I want is cruise control!!!!!!!! argh!!!!

Not to mention the unwanted weight they would add as well. I want mine as light and fast as possible. Mine weighs in at 2,868 LBS.[sm=smiley4.gif]

Megaman, just for some reference - my 66 Chevy II Nova weighs in at a whopping 2900 lbs [sm=smiley20.gif]

this is before... "modifications"... such as the bigger badder motor and - oh, those silly things like - an interior and paint... hahahaha... either way, old, and light

what does the Road Runner weigh in at RR???

A-Vitale - do "regular" neon's have cruise as an option?? does anyone know??
