most entertaining. its true there is always going to be a loser. there was a video out there of a 10second minivan a couple years ago... and that MINIVAN would toast many of us on the quarter. his ego is threatened enough by a neon, how about getting whomped by a caravan? there are many times in life you just have to man up and admit defeat.

 

You're welcome. It sounds mean, and I love the sound of a mean V8... nothing against my car, but a little 4 will never have that same torquey growl of a V8... and you are correct, these cars are relatively light and have moderate amounts of power to move them around. The problem with most SRT's are the owner... not the car... whether they know how to drive/launch the thing right and how much of a jerk off they are after the race. The same is true for any car... ANY... Neon guys get a lot of crap from Mustang owners thinking they are "god's" to the race community... not all, but enough to leave a bad taste in our mouths. so...

I agree with you moparman no one ever talked about wanting a mustang so bad that i remember when camaros firebirds and trans ams were in production because the mustang was the slowest v8 it was pathetic look at the numbers i believe the gt was very close in 1/4 mile to the regular 6 cylinder mustang there are the die hard mustang guys who will always just want a stang but they are still the slowest v8 out of any muscle car so thats why they have to talk about being faster than 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders and now we are taking that from them they are nervous because the nothing more than mediocre legacy of the mustang is over and nothing especially with the camaro coming back out we need to beef up to match them

 

I have gone to the track and eaten my fair share of mustangs for lunch. And have admitted defeat to a few as well. I try not to be a sore loser or a demeaning winner. I would NEVER go onto a ford site and post a vid of myself stomping a stang, but each to their own. I will say that I honestly believe that dude in the SRT did NOT know how to drive that thing ( sorry if I offend the driver, some got it, some don't....). Hey your big v-8 beat a little 4 cylinder, I'm impressed. Now go out and find a v-12 Diablo or even a v-10 viper, then maybe you can own up to a few bragging rights. More times than not ( from what I've witnessed at the track, and we're talking stock for stock) the tables are turned and the little 4 banger pulls just ever so slightly away from the v-8 beast. So, happy Diablo hunting...........and welcome to Dodgeforum!
And 1 more thing. The fact that I'm even replying to a post such as this just gos to show why the majority of people (not just SRTs) despise mustang owners. But more power to ya! Keep that bad taste in everybody's mouth going strong. Keep giving mustang owners around the world that good name!

Was rideing down 1960 last night lookin for a race when a Mustang GT came up on me. Im pritty sure he was stock cuz i had 0 problem keepin up for the few times he tried to go.
I think i scared him because he dident try to keep the race going.

He tried to pass me fast twice. Dropped her into 3rd and stayed w/ him till about 80 twice. 3rd time i had to let him in front of me due to some traffic.... He gunned it i hit 3rd again and kept up. He quit after i pulled along side him. I was dissappointed i wanted a good kill. Oh well i figure he dident go for the long run due to his friend he had in the car... prolly dident wanna say he lost to a Neon instead he can now say i was just toying or something lol.

 

I've got a vid of a mustang. I can't find it online, but its the one of a cobra trying to be hot ****, loses control and crashes into traffic. If i ever have a bad day I watch that and laugh. Its funny every time. Thats what I think of mustang owners...

 

05GT, we already discussed you being insecure before........Are you having a relapse???
