new to the SRT4 street scene
i'll see if i can get a phone number or email address or something for you. i can't promise anything, but i'll see what i can find out.....
and congrats on the degree! not a easy major you chose there....

you rock! if you can get anything, that would be stellar!
and thanks! Kettering University (formaly GMI) in Flint, Michigan is the closest thing to Hell on Earth
but hey, I made it... even with the crime rate, 20 credit hour terms, and lack of girls... go engineering... hahaha...

I'm well aware of Ethan and the people over at PVO/SRT and the use of the term surge valve instead of BOV. And as I have stated they serve the exact same purpose, they just do it slightly differently. The use of the term BOV instead of surge valve is done for a reason, as you have mentioned, familiarity. People can more easily associate and recoginize the BOV term, that is why I have always used it instead of picking it apart and confusing everyone. They only vary in the way they get the exact same job done. If you really want to get technical, it can and should also be called a recirculating valve. This type of stuff is why I have only a couple posts on the srtforums, the main one was just to help a few people out on there to understand how the exhausts they were looking at had such large gains as opposed to other exhausts of the same size with similar designs.
As SRT_YA said,"tomato, to-maaaat-o... in the end, it's all ketchup"
Surge valve, blow off valve or recirculating valve, they all serve the same exact function and that is to keep the sudden pressure build up in the intake system, during shifting, from slowing down the turbo.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I guess the term "people" includes service techs at the dealer and the guys/gals who write the copy for the Mopar ads....they all call it a BOV, (blow off valve) and nobody gets it mixed up with anything else....[&:]
ok...Ive been looking over that srt website that was posted on page 2 of this thread about the catch can...but I am kinda looking for a better solution than something that I have to troubleshoot and design from parts that are unproven (at least to me) and not always exactly the same, depending on the vendor.
If anyone can find me a place that actually sells a catch can, or even one that miught recirculate the "caught" oil back into the crank case, I would be ready to plunk down however much it costs. This seems like a very worthwile mod considering all the mess I will save myself from inside the intake plenum ( hate cleaning those things out on 2.4's...I hate it!!!!)

If you've got the money to burn, go for it. But the $20 OCC works as well as the $90 model, take it from one who tried both. It's not a big engineering deal, the air goes thru the tube till the heavier oil mist/vapor/droplets drop into the container....the clean air then continues on its way.....heck, I'll sell you the Greddy can for $50....you supply the tubing and clamps....less than $7 at Auto Zone......[sm=smiley14.gif]
Yeah, the size was just too tight for my comfort (on the left side as you face the engine). The little "homemade" OCC fits right in with no problems and RR has installed a second one on the other side of his engine. I may do the same....
The Stage 1 is worth the money....more power in the lower gears, better BOV/Borla exhaust sounds, more torque...haven't tested out the WOT shift claims, it's getting harder and harder to find "playmates" to try it out on. And the "STAGE 1" nameplate on the back of the trunk lid under the "SRT-4" doesn't make a lot of people eager to take you on, at least around here.[sm=smiley5.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley16.gif]
