3rd brake light
I was wondering if I could get some help from anyone that knows how to get the 3rd brake light off. I called my Dodge dealer and the service guy was of no help and that just lost them the business for my Stage 3. The guy couldn't even tell me how to get my 3rd brake light off. He said they had only sold 3 or 4 SRT-4's and that they hadn't worked on any there. I have removed the only 2 nuts that I saw and it looked to me like that was all that was holding it on. Thanks for any help. I'll be trying to tackle those sidemarkers tomorrow. Pray for me.

is the light mounted in the trunk lid or in the passenger compartment?
if its in the trunklid, youll have to take down a lot of the inner fabric ( think?) and then it should be easily accesable, just twist the fixture. The ones that are in the cab, you have to remove the 2 screws from either inside the cab or in the trunk, then just pop it off.
sorry for the vague answer there, I havent worked on many neaons since they went to dodge, and all I have to go on is basically chrysler general knowledge

I just looked at a picture of a 2005 neon, and it looks like it the simple matter of just removing the screws the retain it to the trunklid, and just pop it out...its a tight fit because it has to be watertight, just press it out
I haven't done my third brake light on my neon, but I did do my side markers. Well i didn't do them, my friend did I was working on my springs at the time, but from what I saw they pulled back the plastic lining in the wheel well, then there is a a metal clip on the back of the side marker that locks it into place. You undo that and then they come out. Replace with new one, put clip back and put plastic lining back and you're done. Should be something to that effect.
Alright, thanks guys. I'm going to figure it out today. I think my problem was me being a little to gentle with it. I didn't want to break it. I'll get my sidemarkers on today too. Thanks for the help guys.
