Default DAB on the fly?

I was wondering, does DAB work on a moments notice? The reason I ask is, say for instance I am at the track and want to launch it on 1, then in second flip it to 3 would it work that way? Man that would be sweet and would save me some tire wear. So can it be switched on demand like that AND be effective?

actually... if I recall, try setting it on DAB 2... 3 gives you full boost in first, whereas 2 still cuts boost in 1st gear and then opens up in other gears... perhaps I read that wrong... but... someone correct me if I am wrong on that one... it's happened before.

that's exactly what dab 2 is all about...limits boost in 1st and 2nd to give traction.

to answer the original question....yes you can change dab on the fly. not very useful at the track, but it's good on the streets.

Well, I tried 2 also. Still just roasted the tires off and I actually ran a slower time than launching on 3. I'll figure something out.......

new tires and some skillz (with a "Z")

don't worry, I can't launch my car either... I shy away from the track because of it (I know... I'm a wuss)... haha
