Default I was wondering?

Um, i just bought an 04 Srt a couple months ago and i was wondering which exhaust has the most power gain, plus a nice sound. There is an Srt-4 down here in miami that has made the dual to a single Apexi exhaust with 3 1/2 pipin the whole way back. I was wondering if any of you have heard of this before or have even tried this. Is there benefits/defaults to this conversion?

3 1/2 inch is a bit big unless he/she has modded it up to around 300 HP. Turbo's need some backpressure in the exhaust and Mopar/Borla have an excellent system for around $325 on Ebay. It's a direct bolt on replacement, sounds better than stock and looks better than stock as well....It also gives you more ponies as well.[sm=smiley16.gif]

That's what I got, but I still need to put it on or should I say, I still need to get it put on. A 3 1/2" exhaust, you only need it that large if your going for 600+ horsepower or so.

RR, why don't you install it yourself? I did mine with a friend and it took only an hour. I like the sound and look of my exhaust. I could definately feel the difference.

Gotturbo,
I wouldn't put a can on the car though. I have seen one that was dual exhaust with two cans and he said he lost like 30 hp. The mopar/borla was designed for this car.

On some SRT-4's getting the exhaust off of the rubber hangers can be a real pain in the rear....many people end up taking it to a local muffler shop...[sm=smiley16.gif]

That is the ONLY reason mine isn't on right now, those frickin' [sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif] rubber hangers. I oiled them and they still wouldn't come close to coming off. Now it's the SOB rain all the frickin' time.[sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley7.gif]
