how can i remove the speed limiter on a SRT
Melo... can you stop posting about your car and it's limitations... this is the 3rd post about this... in another thread you state the top end is 138 while racing an Accord... in a different post you say the top end is lie 160 and the same Accord will go 179mph. Now it's back to 138mph... I think the highest speed limit is 70mph, so why are you going almost double that??
So first and foremost, your car is not limited to 138! If so, then you need to take it in and have it serviced... but explain that one - - "Yes, my car will only go 138mph"... I'd like to see the faces of the tech's when you tell them that!
Finally, learn to spell! I hate to make a broad general stereotype here - - but if you can't spell "normal" words like "Please" (not "plese") perhaps you should spend more time reading a book or two about your car instead of driving it to it's "limit"
if I have used words that have too many syllables or I have spelled them "too correctly" let me know and I'll dumb down my response.

no it gears out some where in the mid 170's but if you have a stg 2 its right around 180. the cars speed limiter kicks in at about 153 and in the stg 2 cars there is not one. and +1 for srt-ya's post they say this is no stupid question but you proved that wrong
I use to go by what Dodge said about them having a 148 or 149 MPH speed limiter on it, but it has been proven thousands of times that it is a lie and there is no speed restriction, only a rev limiter and aerodynamic limitations, both of which are not sufficient to keep it below the speedometers limitations let alone the manufacturers claims. Remember this is the same manufacturer that says the '03's are only 215 horsepower and the '04 - '05's are 230 horsepower yet they all dyno that much and more at the wheels, so you cannot put much in what the manufacturer claims on some things such as this. The biggest limitation is weather conditions and elevation as well as the condition of the drivetrain.

Stage 2 PCMs cut the boost around 155-157. I've done it and have it on video, and another guy on SRTforums has it on video multiple times and others have confirmed aswell. Only at around 5800 rpm.
