How much horsepower&torque will the stock clutch handle? thanks

 

trq is what your worried about and around 350-370

 

Does anyone know what the part number is for the stock clutch?
and is it this part number if not do you know if this is an upgraded clutch number P4510647 ZF Sachs Race engineering

 

Its supposed to handle up to Stage 3's powerband, but you never know. I have almost 60k on the car and still with the stock clutch but I'm nowhere near the S3's torque numbers which is probably why I'm still okay.

 

stock cluch doesnt handle s3 power. at least the 3 guys in my area with it have had to swap them out because of a lot of slipping. and its pretty funny watching a 50 trim at 19psi running on stock cluch after 4800rmp a huge cloud of smoke comes billowing out.

 

my clutch has 17k on it.. it slips short shifting from 1st to 2nd at red line running 17 PSI.. running 15 PSI i don't have any slipping

 

the upgraded mopar clutch is recomened for s3, the stocker can't handle it. the stock is good for probably 300-325tq depending a LOT on how you drive. some people are ok on the stocker because they don't beat on the car. if you drive it hard and/or frequent the track a lot then it's not going to be able to handle as much before it starts to slip.
