Need Help.. Turbo Problems w/ EBC
Ever since i installed my greddy profec b II EBC i've been having some problems with my car throwing fuel management and some kind of positioning code.. i was taking off my EBC to take it back into the dealer and i realized one of the hoses came loose.. so i tightened it and re-tuned the controller and its only been throwing over boost codes since i re-connected the hose.
now my turbo has started to make a weird spooling noise(usually don't hear the turbo spool until recently) when it first spools it up.. now it has started making a weird noise when i run it at 10 PSI giving it partial throttle.. almost like a shutter sound.. i don't know how to explain the noise it makes but it has me worried..
once i floor my car and get up to full boost the sound goes away and everything seems normal.. should i be worried.. are these signs of my turbo going bad?
Should i be running a non-conversion BOV if i am running 17 PSI? I noticed a different noise in my mopar BOV when i let off the throttle when it is spooled up to 10-17 PSI also.. almost like there is to much air trying to get out of the BOV

that noise you're hearing is probably the lovely part-throttle boost issue that many people have. it makes an odd surge type sound (kinda hard to explain lol) you can help reduce it some by adjusting the wga on there and controlling the spike. you say that you're running 17psi, but i'm guessing that's the spike? what are you actually holding to redline? by adjusting the boost you can reduce the drop off and help control ptb some, but it will never really go away. also, what's your spool like?
get a s1 to get rid of the overboost code. eventually the car will go into limp mode if you do not address that issue. you can also cap the white line for now until you get a s1 in her.

my car holds at 17 PSI..
if i tune it to hold at 15 PSI it spikes at 17 and holds at 15.. but when i tune it at 17 it just spikes and holds at 17
the spool sounds like air being sucked in.. it just has me worried because for the couple weeks i've ran this EBC this just started happening in the past couple days.
i plan on buying a stg 1 computer this friday so hopefully i won't throw any more codes after i get that

I just found this on SRTForums incase any one is having the same problem..
The flutter sound you hear during PTB with an aftermarket WGA is 'normal' and is not harmful
Not to be confused with intake flutter that you get after installing an aftermarket intake. There is some debate on this 'flutter' sound that anyone who has installed an aftermarket WGA has undoubtedly heard, the kind that causes the boost needle to shake and the car to run like crap as long as you hold the throttle steady. I personally talked directly to three people who I'm pretty sure would know for sure what this sound is... Steve, R & D / Engineer at AGP, Kevin (I may be wrong on this name but he was one of their head techs) at Kinetic (another manufacturer of quality WGA's), and Dodgetweaker (resident SRT guru), and they all agreed that this sound is compressor surge, it is not 'normal' and is indeed harmful for your turbo. It is the result of your turbo making too much boost with too little rpm and/or throttle opening, so the boost has nowhere to go and forces it's way back thru the compressor. So if you've got an aftermarket WGA, keep your foot out of the PTB areas and don't cause it to make that sound! I know lots of guys will argue this point until they run out of breath, sorry but if it comes straight from AGP, Kinetic and Dodgetweakers mouths I have a hard time arguing with that.
