Default WATERFALL UNDER MY DASH

Seems as if everytime it rains real hard im getting water coming out from under my dash on the passenger side ... anyone else had that problem ? ... Im guessing it's either a plugged cowl drain ... or maybe a drain hose on the heater core ?

When you shut off the car, switch the HVAC controls to "Recirculate" and not "Intake". The piece that controls that underneath the cowl and inside the firewall really doesn't do that great of a job, as its very weak. Therefore once you leave the air on intake (and the controls on or off doesnt matter but worse when on) and start the car, you get a waterfall.

If that doesn't fix your problem, you may have a windshield adhesive defect that can easily be repaired by your dealer.

There are a few other, not so common, causes, but the first one listed is the most commong.

I had what appears to be the same problem, it was pooling up on the passenger side floor board and spitting water out the vents. The dealer fixed it, it was a pinched air conditioning drain line. That was over a year ago, so the exact names of the parts may be wrong, but it was the air conditioning line of some sort that caused the problem. It should be a pretty easy fix for the dealer to handle.

I had the same issue. if you have replaced the stock door speakers with aftermarket ones that require large gauge wire, the rubber cover that holds the wires from the body to the doors might not be fully sealed. check that thing and make sure its sealed. I used window insulation coated with clearcoat. works good one year later.
