how does it come off???...does it just pull???
i just got one for my 98 neon and once i fugure out how it comes on/off i will be bale to figure out how my handle needs to be cut down

 

on the srt 4 put it in second and pull hard i found out when i shifted a little to happily into second one day

 

Yes it just pulls off you do have to put some considerable force on it mine came off when i was racing a 00 mustang gt when I went to shift from 1 to 2 i slammed it and it just popped off. It just snapped back on and no more problems....and I still won.
