Diamond plate, Wheels, and tires.....
Where do you get the steel diamond plate floor mats from? Also, with Mopar stg 1 lowering springs and stock struts can you fit 235/40/17's safely (on a 17x8 inch rim of course) ? If I can't turn all the way (like the SRT turns anyway) due to rubbing, that's not too bad. I just want to make sure I don't have problems while driving, hitting bumps, etc........... I just ordered my 17X8's this morning
Now I just need to order the widest (safest) possible DR's for the front and an equivelant tire set for the back.

235s won't allow a stop to stop turn, and will GREATLY reduce your turning radius doing more harm than good. Go with a 225/40.
Diamond Plate Floor mats I believe are from Revolution Motorsports
Mount your DRs to a 15" wheel. 225/50/15 fits with no issues. Just make sure its a steelie that will clear the caliper, or you'll need a spacer.

I appreciate it moparman! They do look sweet, will protect your stock carpet, and I'm sure they are alot lower maintenance than the cloth floor mats. Plus, THEY LOOK SWEET!!
My floormats are just the black/red/white dodge ones from autozone. They're winter mats. I drove my friend's SRT with the diamond plate FM's, and in the winter or when it rained, it was impossible to keep my foot from slipping off the pedals....they just pool up water.
So are you buying wheels strictly for the DR's??? Otherwise, thats not smart. Everyone has a set of lightweight, or steel, 15" wheels, unless they have so much power they need a 17" wheel (in the case of the AMS SRT).
You can only take a tire off a wheel a few times before its toast. But if you bought a 17x8 STRICTLY for the DRS...then okay...but DRs have HUGE sidewalls under normal circumstances to allow the most tire surface touching the ground running low psi. With a bigger rim, thats not really possible.
