clutches
what is the best clutch i will have 300hp by the end of sept my goal is 400hp by the end of the year so what would be the best clutch cause my car has 10k and it already needs one. slipping in 4th gear
A 6 puck clutch isn't a good daily driving clutch though. If its your daily driver you'll wear it out FAR sooner than you would a streetable disc. Its a high sprung clutch meant for drag and minimal road use. A 4 puck clutch is meant STRICTLY for race and nothing else. Puck clutches are also VERY chattery, very loud, and have very harsh engagement. They take a bit of getting used to. The pedal feel is much stiffer than stock (especially with a puck), so if you drive your car everyday, a puck clutch isnt for you.
The clutch I am getting, and have seriously read up on is the ACT Street Disc clutch. Capable of handling 475ft-lbs of torque.

Slightly more vibration
Slightly more chatter
Slightly stiffer pedal feel
Slightly harsh engagement
But a clutch that can handle the power AND not sacrifice daily driveabilty. Only problem with ACT is you NEED to use their flywheel. In the link I provided, thats a kit, it comes with the Throw-out bearing, Pressure Plate, Clutch, and Flywheel for that price. Theres other websites that are cheaper if you shop around. Part Number is: ACTDN4-HDSS put that in Google and you'll find a cheapest price of: 569.49 from Carolina Clutch.com

the cm s4 6 puck is perfect for daily driving, i've had it in my car for almost a year. i had the cm s4 4 puck before that and even that was fine for street driving. don't believe what cm tells you about the s4 being a "track only" clutch, as it's very streetable and very well behaved once broken in. yes, it chatters like a ****, but other than that it's a great clutch. i am very happy with mine and if i ever need another clutch, it will be a cm one, probably the s4 yet again. they not only make a great clutch but have excellent customer service as well. btw - the s3 is horrible, don't even consider it!!!!
