Definitely chassis related, either that or the bracket mount bolt above the tranny under the PDC. If thats in the wrong mounting hole from the factory it causes the mystery squeak.

So this may sound dumb. . . .

i have the waranty plan thru dodge for my oil changes, and they always say they check and top off the fluids, does this include tranny fluid??

Or how do I change it?

That would apply if you had a automatic tranny (which you don't) which would normally have a place in the engine compartment to check the level of the fluid, much like checking your oil.

Ahhh. I was getting confused for a moment.
Because a few years ago DCX came out with ATF+4 which is a "fill for life" fluid that you don't need to change.
But the manuals do need to be changed at regular intervals.

no fluid is a "for life" fluid, they just use that as a marking tactict. even auto tranny's need to have their fluid changed or problems will result.

What is the best tranny fluid to go with for our cars? I'm getting to the point of changing, and anything to help the "clunkiness" of my shifts would be very helpfull.
