Default First ever "Official" race Today

2005 (LS2) GTO with a Lingenfelter CAI, a Borla CB and me bone stock except for the Mopar "blue plate" added. Both were @ 65mph in 3rd gear and did the 3 honk start - to my surprise I got a slight jump on him and his front bumper was at my side mirror, but he fell back to where his front bumper was at my rear tire. Both hit 4th @ 100ish, or so, and he pulled on me until about the top of 4th gear...and there was about a full car length (or a bit more) between his back bumper and my front bumper when we both shut it down. I did better than I thought I would. Eventhough I got beat, we both figured/guessed that me with Stage 2 and full exhaust would be faster than his GTO.

Probably why he plans on going with LT's and tune in a few months...

Well the GTO must be automatic or have a bad driver cause GTO's are low to mid 13second cars and with a cai and exhaust should be in the low 13's all day. So the GTO should have pulled on you pretty hard but nice kill.

Not much driver error when both are in 3rd gear and waiting, not worrying about traction issues. He didn't miss a gear, hit rev limiter, shift too early or anything like that because he would have mentioned it. And he's my brother and we're pretty equal drivers. And he did pass me at 4th gear, but I still think I did better than I expected. Perhaps I have one of the "freak" SRT's that dyno a bit on the high side?
