I know very well how to drive - I posted looking for a part - "but has anyone heard about where/when the mopar performance rear tension struts are available?" which mopar has put out a bulletin on - "Mopar performance rear tension struts" and describes as made to eliminate the rear wheel hop that has been associated with heavy braking.
Also, I believe it was scc (or one of the better mags) that said they had no braking issues from 60 in 10 stops but in the 6th from 80 the rear wheels erupted into a fit of w.h.........and continued thereafter.
So laugh on.
not to sound like a mom, just be careful... I had a college roommate total his Focus driving too fast into/around/before corners... and he too "can drive"... I even put a car in the ditch once taking a corner too fast (of course, I was 15, and that is a totally different story - HA-HA).
on that same note, I had a car that experienced "rear wheel hop" during hard braking... a 1990 Plymouth Laser (non-turbo)... the back end came out on me once in a corner (going sideways in a fwd on dry pavement is a weird feeling
and once during hard braking in a straight line the car started to bounce and "swayed" back and forth... again... scary... I learned to slow down before I became another insurance stastistic, but to each their own
if you find any info on this subject, rear bracing or such, please advise... I would be curious to know...

In all seriousness - thanks for your concern - I guess there may be younger/newer drivers reading this stuff and I don't want them getting any bad ideas. I will be careful.
